THE COASTAL ENERGY PROJECT - MAKING A DIFFERENCE

TRANSFORMING A COMMUNITY

The Coastal Community Action Program (CCAP) is a nonprofit organization, based in Aberdeen, WA, that provides community services ranging from housing and energy assistance to job training and placement.

Led by CEO, Craig Dublanko, CCAP has become a mainstay in Pacific and Grays Harbor counties with its extensive services, offering relief and support to a community hit hard by the decline of the timber industry.  In order to expand their programs and services, CCAP was in need of new revenue streams which is how the idea of the Coastal Energy Project was born.

The Coastal Energy Project, a division of CCAP, is a 6MW wind farm, located in Grayland, WA, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.  The clean energy produced by the four GE wind turbines on the farm is sold to a local utility, with all of the revenue going back into the community through CCAP's support programs.  Watch the video to learn more about how GE is helping power the people who are making a difference in their community.
